There is more and
more enthusiasm and interest in Cyprus at the moment over the Crystal
Singing Bowls. When people first hear the Crystal Singing
Bowls at The Soma Centre they are usually taken completely by
surprise. The sound is truly is out of this world. The effect is
both grounding and uplifting.
The Crystal Singing Bowls are all made of quartz crystal
powder which dropped into a centrifugal force spinning mould and
is heated to tremendously high temperatures of several thousands
of degrees centigrade. The individual particles of powder are then
integrated to make the bowl. The integrated structure of the purest
resonance sends out audible sound tested up to a third of a mile
or so. There are three types of Crystal Singing Bowl opaque,
clear and optically clear quality which looks almost like glass.
When played with a rubber mallet or suede covered tube usually called
a wand, they create a sine wave, a very pure sound that carries
through physical objects. As the human body has a lot of resonation
potential the bowls and the person work together in harmony. Resonance
is the ability of a vibration to reach out and trigger a response
in anything of similar frequency.
As the human body is made in part of millions and millions of crystals
called Apatite crystals, present in our bones, when we work with

our crystals and affects the crystalline structure of our bones.
